Head of Financial Information Technology, Ministry of Finance Mongolia

As a Head of Financial Information Technology at Ministry of Finance, Batgerel Zorigtbaatar is responsible for all Government financial systems such as Government Financial Management Information System, Budget Planning Information System, Debt Management Financial Analysis System and others. He has over twelve years of experience in IT. He annually participates in IDC Central Asian Summit to align policy with contemporary change in technology and share experience with mates in this region.

While working for MoF, Batgerel Zorigtbaatar is involved in several government projects funded by World Bank and played a key role not only in building fiber optic and satellite network all over the country, but also in implementing government financial systems for budget entities and remote treasury units. He also worked for Mongolian Stock Exchange as CIO between 2014 and 2016. His most recent is an open data.

Batgerel Zorigtbaatar holds a bachelor degree in Information Systems Engineer from the National University of Mongolia. He has attended advanced courses in financial systems, database administration, software development in various countries, including USA, Canada, India and etc.
